Airius ‘solving the biggest waste of energy in buildings’

Airius Designer Series Range In this sponsored post, Airius Europe says its thermal destratification technology is the answer to the biggest waste of energy in buildings: heating and cooling.

Across the world rising energy prices have resulted in research into reducing energy consumption within buildings. While there are many energy saving technologies available, Airius claims thermal destratification is rapidly becoming recognised as a ground breaking and remarkably cost effective energy reduction solution when used in conjunction with heating and cooling systems available on the market.

Thermal stratification is the temperature gradient between the floor and ceiling due to the natural phenomenon of thermal resilience. Airius says its destratification system is the perfect solution to improving the efficiency of heating and cooling systems reducing energy consumption, running costs and carbon emissions by 20% – 50%.

Any building which is artificially cooled with a ceiling height from 2.5 to 38 metres will benefit from the Airius system, according to the firm. Highly energy efficient, Airius fans circulate heated or cooled air more efficiently to balance temperatures and improve internal environments that will eliminate hot and cool spots, make HVAC systems work less hard and prevent large internal atmospheric losses each time doors and windows are opened.

In 2013, in response to requests from facilities managers, architects and building owners for a more stylish design, Airius launched the Designer Series range. This new range offers the same features, benefits and technology as the Standard Series that can be tailored to any custom RAL colour to compliment all architectural designs – saving energy in style, according to Airius.

In 2014, the firm launched the PureAir Series and says these fan units not only provide the benefits of destratification, but also include a highly efficient air purification and odour control system to reduce viruses, bacteria, gases, mould and odours by more than 90%, creating clean, healthy and odour free indoor spaces.

In addition, Airius welcomed four new team members to its Dorset-based office: Tony Roper, Head of UK sales; Robbie Stone, Sales Support Manager; Emel Yusuf, PR Manager and Ben Noguer, Sales Support. This has enabled Airius to expand  incorporating web, advertising and social media into its marketing strategy. The aim is to help to increase understanding and widespread knowledge of the benefits of destratification in the near future.

Since launch in 2006, Airius has been recognised for its technology, including winning the ‘Innovation Award for Environmental Technology’ at the Environment and Energy Awards 2014, held as part of The Sustainability Live Exhibition, where it fought off stiff competition from retail giant B&Q to scoop the Award.

Airius now claims to be the world leader in destratification technology and as a result has seen a significant growth in sales over the past few years, with over 85,000 fans sold worldwide.

Airius has a number of ‘real-world’ success stories demonstrating how the team has worked closely with customers to overcome a variety of different energy reduction and environmental issues.
