CBRE to pick up Carillion’s FM contract with Centrica

Property and facilities management giant CBRE is set to take on Carillion’s FM contract with Centrica.

Carillion was awarded the five-year framework in 2016, with an option to extend for a further two years.

The original contract included hard and soft facilities management services, including asset surveys and planning, planned and reactive maintenance, cleaning, security and catering for Centrica’s 115 locations in the UK and Republic of Ireland, together with the delivery of certain construction projects for Centrica.

Mowlem TFM originally won the contract in 2005, and was subsequently acquired by Carillion, which retained the business until its collapse.

It is understood all staff on the contract will transfer to CBRE.
