Compleo signs EV charging deal with Apcoa

Compleo Charging Solutions UK has signed a multi-million pound deal to supply a further 1000 AC charging stations for Apcoa Parking UK by the end of 2024.

The agreement builds on an initial partnership which saw 451 AC chargers being installed across six public car parks for Apcoa client Network Rail last year.

It will also see Apcoa extend its service offering in the EV market by providing 24-7 customer support via its National Customer Service Centre and dedicated maintenance and support teams.

The Apcoa Connect payment app is integrated with the Compleo backend software, enabling EV drivers to park and charge in either one single payment or separate transactions.

Earlier this year, Compleo opened its new UK headquarters in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, part of parent company Compleo Charging Solutions AG’s European expansion, adding to offices in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Sweden.

Compleo recently installed 33 EV chargers at the depot of Oxford Direct Services (ODS), the company that uses electric trucks to collect business waste on behalf of Oxford City Council.

Kim Challis, Regional Managing Director UK&I and Group ESG Director at Apcoa sai “Compleo’s commitment to continuous development of charging technology and the support from the UK team make Compleo the perfect partner for our AC EV charge point network.”

Valentin Scheltow, MD of Compleo UK said, “We are excited with our partnership with Apcoa. The two organisations have in a short period of time made significant progress in the market.

“We are now actively working on our next project for a major NHS Trust and five different city centre car parks across the UK”.
