There are a few remaining free tickets for The Energyst’s DSR Event, held in London on 7 September.
The energy system is changing dramatically. In the coming years, those that can respond to sharpening price signals at any given time of day will cut costs and generate revenue. Those that do not will pay more.
The DSR Event will arm businesses and public sector organisations with key insights into the challenges and opportunities of demand-side response, helping them prepare and profit from the transition now taking place.
Presentations from National Grid, Beis and Ofgem are followed by end-user focused sessions. These will provide an honest appraisal of the opportunities to generate revenue and cut costs through flexible power consumption – and the barriers that firms must work around.
Kate Dapre, head of engineering, energy & sustainability at NHS National Services Scotland, will give unique insight into the challenges faced by Trusts attempting to harness assets to cut costs.
Maria Spyrou, energy efficiency programme manager at Marks & Spencer will look at how the retailer has overcome hurdles to deliver significant energy bill reductions and its plans to connect more assets as part of a major flexibility drive.
Andrew Heygate-Brown, senior energy innovation analyst at Dwr Cymru Welsh Water, will outline the firm’s DSR strategy, its outcomes and Welsh Water’s plans for a significant push into frequency response.
Other businesses will detail their DSR involvement and how it fits into a broader energy strategy.
Meanwhile aggregators, energy suppliers and consultants will give their views on how end users can unlock value from flexibility – and how value is set to increase for firms that adopt the best strategy for their business.
Network companies Western Power Distribution and UK Power Networks will provide a glimpse of the new flexibility markets opening up to businesses. Meanwhile, energy storage experts will attempt to separate fact from fiction and provide delegates with a snapshot of future revenue opportunities.
The DSR Event also marks the launch of The Energyst’s latest DSR report, containing expert views from across the sector. All delegates will receive a free copy.
