Ford has revealed details for its all-new E-Transit Custom that will offer a range up to 236 miles.

The E‑Transit Custom will include 3 DC fast-charging, full towing capability, full LED lighting as well as new styling, while ProPower Onboard technology will provide exportable power for tools, lights and devices while on site.

It will also be supported by Ford Pro software, charging, service and financing solutions.

Further product details will be announced in September, with production beginning in the second half of 2023 at the upgraded Ford Otosan facility in Kocaeli, Turkey.

The E-Transit Custom is the second new model revealed since the manufacturer created the dedicated Ford Pro division for its commercial vehicle operations.

Ford’s E-Transit that began production in March this year provides the option of either a 184hp or 270hp electric motor, both generating 430Nm of torque, and powered by a 68kWh capacity battery.

Earlier this year Ford announced that by 2024, four further new all-electric vehicles will join the E-Transit two-tonne van in the Transit family, including the Transit Custom and Transit Courier vans, as well as the Tourneo Custom and Tourneo Courier people movers.

Hans Schep, general manager, Ford Pro, Europe said, “This is a watershed moment for commercial vehicle operators in Europe, and another hugely significant realisation of our Ford Pro ambitions.

“Europe’s best-selling van just went all-electric and – supported by our unique Ford Pro one-stop-shop of productivity-boosting services – the operating benefits this will bring to business across Europe cannot be overstated.”
