GeniePoint has become the latest charging network to adopt the Zap-Pay EV charging payment system, available from within the Zap-Map app.
Other EV charging networks currently using Zap-Pay include Osprey, ESB Energy and char.gy.
As a single-app payment system that uses a credit or debit card to pay for charging, Zap-Pay avoids the need to use different payment methods across the various networks.
The agreement with Genie Point agreement means about 1,700 charging devices across the UK are now Zap-Pay enabled.
GeniePoint has 800 charge points, including more than 500 rapid chargers in England, Scotland and Wales, from Dundee to Falmouth.
The network has chargers at more than 200 sites of supermarket chain Morrisons, and has also installed EV chargers at Premier Inn locations.
