Haven Power has produced sector specific energy saving documents, available via a free download link at the end of this sponsored post.

Following the government’s announcement to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050, we’ve produced a series of useful energy saving guides. These sector-focused documents offer clear instructions and have the potential to help cut your ongoing costs – and to play your part in the energy revolution that’s upon us all.

The government estimates that installing energy efficiency measures could reduce the energy costs of an average small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) by between 18% and 25%. On average, those investments are expected to pay for themselves within just 18 months – making a significant contribution to any company’s bottom line.

However, energy consumption in British businesses has grown by nearly a third over the last 40 years, of which heating makes up 32% of the UK’s total carbon emissions. And when industry experts compare the energy expenditure of “UK plc” to members of the International Energy Agency, they conclude that we’re overspending by £1.6 billion every year. That’s a lot of money going to waste!

To compound the issue, the government’s Clean Growth Strategy requires a 25% reduction in emissions from business and industry.

Whether you run a farm, factory, office, shop or cinema, the time for action on energy efficiency is now. Haven Power’s series of sector-specific guides will help you understand how easy it can be, from no-cost measures to more substantial investments.

Our six free guides provide energy-saving tips if you’re in agriculture, hospitality, manufacturing, office-based organisations, public services and healthcare, plus retail, leisure and entertainment sectors. Each one draws upon information from The Carbon Trust, a not-for-profit organisation supporting the UK’s move to a low carbon economy.
