Gresham House taps Flexitricity for 20MW hybrid project

0

Flexitricity will attempt to deliver best returns for Gresham House Energy Storage Fund’s Noriker Staunch project, a 20MW hybrid gas and battery storage scheme in Gloucester.

The batteries deliver rapid response, while the engines can keep running for hours if needed.

The aggregator will trade the flexibility within frequency response markets, where some prices have risen in recent months, plus day ahead and intraday power markets, as well as the Balancing Mechanism.

Gresham House is spreading management of its battery assets around the market. In recent months it has signed agreements with Kiwi Power (15MW of storage) and EDF Energy (24MW of storage and gas generators).
