Innogy brings 770MW of wind and solar assets to PPA market

Innogy is touting green power from 770MW of wind and solar assets to companies seeking green PPAs.

The generator will use the Instatrust trading marketplace, run by Oslo-based DNV GL as a route to market.

Green PPA deals more than doubled in 2019 to a record 19.5 GW, said Innogy, equivalent to the rated output of 10 per cent of renewable assets installed by all generators last year.

Innogy has a pipeline of 6.9GW green assets under construction or planned, on top of 3.6 GW already operating. They are located in seven countries.

DNV GL’s CEO Ditlev Engel commented: “Hundreds of corporations worldwide are committing to run their operations on 100 per cent renewable [electricity]. Links between suppliers and purchasers based on expertise and trust are needed to bring about transparent deals in renewables”.
