It’s time to have your say: be part of the Business Energy Tracker 2023

In 2022, we conducted a major piece of research among 200 large energy users that asked them how the energy market was affecting their confidence to invest in their businesses, as well as their views on net zero and government policy.

The report, the Business Energy Tracker, revealed that three quarters said that energy was their biggest risk. It also demonstrated how businesses were responding to the energy crisis, from increasing energy efficiency to investing in sustainable on-site generation.

This year, we are conducting the research again to find out what has changed now we are 12 months down the line. Since the last Business Energy Tracker, the government has introduced the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) and conducted a wide ranging review of the Net Zero Strategy.

With things set to change again at the end of March, when the EBRS will be replaced by the Energy Bills Discount Scheme (EBDS), we wanted to see how businesses are feeling now, and whether their confidence levels have changed.

We are inviting major energy users – those that spend more than £50,000 per year on energy – to have their say on energy risk, current government policy including the EBRS and EBDS, net zero and the support they would like to receive from government to help them navigate these challenging times.

You can access the survey here, many thanks for taking part.
