Nando’s seeks new water supplier for almost 400 outlets

Restaurant chain Nando’s will tender for a water supplier in early 2018.

“Having firmly embedded waste reduction principles and procurement processes in our business, we now turn our attention to water,” said Cameron Holder, head of indirect procurement at Nando’s.

“We are excited by the possibilities that the open market offers us and trust Waterscan’s considerable expertise and data insight to guide us toward optimising water consumption and cost savings throughout our English restaurant portfolio.”

Waterscan account director, James Goodall, said the consultancy’s initial task was to review Nando’s billing data to understand current usage to drive down consumption and cost.

“The resulting data analysis will assist the Nando’s procurement team to make a well-informed decision about its choice of water supplier and ultimately achieve their best possible tender outcome,” he suggested.
