Its smart meter installation engineers will drive the e-NV200s which were supplied within twelve weeks of order to ensure fleet replacement cycles were met.

The 100% electric e-NV200 is equipped with the same 40kWh battery as the new Nissan Leaf, has a maximum range of 187 miles in city conditions and offers multiple charging modes.

Zenith is supporting Ovo with a complete fleet service for the vehicles.

In December 2020, Ovo took delivery of 40 Kia e-Niros for its Field Force team.

The UK’s largest independent energy supplier has signed up to EV100 and committed to an all-electric fleet by 2030.

It has already pledged to achieve net zero carbon for its own operations and supply chain while halving its members’ carbon footprint by 2030.

Ben Guest, field operations director, Ovo Energy said, “We’re committed to expand our Field Force team’s fleet with new electric vehicles, building on our commitment to achieve net zero carbon emissions from our own operations by 2030.

“Zenith is a valuable partner in helping us with our goals and enabling us to transition to a fully electric fleet.”

Mark Grundy, customer relationship manager at Zenith, added, “The team at Zenith used its industry expertise to quickly order, equip and deploy these fully electric vehicles within a short period of time.

“We continue to work closely with Ovo to understand the different driver requirements in their fleet and recommend a bespoke transition strategy that meets their operational needs and fleet ambitions.”
