Joel Stark: Deal enables more complex gas solutions

Energy metering and data firm Stark has acquired metering and independent gas transporter Squire.

Managing director, Joel Stark, said it enables the company to provide new gas connections and metering as well as energy data and analytics to both ‘end user’ businesses and energy suppliers.

Squire’s head of asset management Jordan Rowbottom said the deal would allow it to grow “more rapidly than was previously possible”.

Stark provides data, analytics and metering services to around 30,000 UK firms. It claims to process almost 18 per cent of the UK’s electricity data.
