Tempus Energy closes energy supply business

1

closedTempus Energy has closed its supply business. The company, which supplied energy to small businesses and traded the flexibility in their energy usage in a bid to earn revenue and reduce their bills, is one of a number of new breed energy firms attempting to disrupt the energy market.

It is understood the firm had written to customers over the summer to inform them it would no longer be supplying them energy.

It may now be that Tempus tries to leverage its technology platform or look to partner with other suppliers or service providers involved in the demand-side response market.

CEO Sara Bell, a vocal critic of energy policies she perceived as unfavourable to demand-side response providers, has not yet responded to requests for comment.
