Minister of State at the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, Rt Hon Greg Hands MP, has today highlighted the importance of clean energy innovation to unlock economic opportunities and create future-proof green jobs.
The video was released as part of the Faces of the Energy Transition campaign, led by centre of sustainable energy expertise Regen, in partnership with the UK energy trade associations, including Energy UK, Global Wind Energy Council, Renewable UK and others, and supported by COP26, Race to Zero and the UN High-Level Climate Champions.
The campaign is designed to celebrate the inspiring individuals and pioneering projects working to achieve the clean energy transition and tackle the climate crisis internationally.
Videos produced as part of the campaign feature individuals sharing stories of their journey into a green job and their message for leaders at COP26. Organisations featured in the videos include the COP26 Principal Partners, NatWest, National Grid and SSE Renewables.

The videos also showcase some of the technologies that will be required to reach a net zero economy, including heat pumps, wind and solar power, electric vehicles and green hydrogen.
