The campaign is designed to celebrate the inspiring individuals and pioneering projects working to achieve the clean energy transition and tackle the climate crisis internationally.

Rt Hon Greg Hands MP, Minister of State at the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, said, “It’s an honour to be promoting this campaign on behalf of the trade associations representing the thriving clean energy sector. It is fantastic to see so many people passionate about their work in the clean energy transition and helping the UK to build back greener and better.”

Rachel Hayes, senior strategy advisor at COP26 and associate director at Regen, who has led the campaign, said, “I’m thrilled to be spearheading the Faces of the Energy Transition campaign as it’s a perfect opportunity to showcase the diversity of talent and breadth of jobs which exist in the clean energy sector. The campaign highlights that progress at COP26 is a huge opportunity to create more business opportunities with new jobs and that people from all walks of life may be inspired to consider a green job.”

The videos also showcase some of the technologies that will be required to reach a net zero economy, including heat pumps, wind and solar power, electric vehicles and green hydrogen.
