Veolia has acquired public sector specialist energy services firm Cynergin.
According to Companies House, Cynergin’s directors were replaced with senior execs from Veolia just before Christmas.
Founded in 2000, Cynergin became part of the Brook Henderson Group in 2010. It has recently undertaken some high profile NHS projects. Meanwhile, Veolia provides energy management to more than 100 hospitals in the UK and Ireland.
In a statement, Veolia said the acquisition sat well with its Energy Performance Contracts business, adding to its energy efficiency know how.
“With the addition of Cynergin’s expertise and bidding approach, Veolia is further strengthening its service offering to the healthcare and public sectors to ensure we maintain the existing growth in the management of Energy Frameworks and address the needs of these dynamic markets, providing not only energy, but water and waste solutions,” said Estelle Brachlianoff, senior executive vice president, Veolia UK and Ireland.
