Vilnis Vesma to mount UK’s first national M&V conference in November

0

Later this year, working in association with the Energy Services and Technology Association, Vesma is mounting the UK’s first national conference on the subject. The event will provide a significant learning and networking opportunity for anyone involved with measuring and verifying energy savings, or thinking about using M&V methods in earnest.

The morning session will outline the essence of M&V and introduce the major international protocols and standards, while the afternoon will focus on practical issues. It will feature an expert panel comprising an end user, an independent verifier, an energy services company and a product supplier. They will each outline the operational issues that face them from their different perspectives, and answer questions from the audience.

The keynote address, Unlocking project finance with measurement and verification, will be given by Dr Steve Fawkes. A former energy manager, Dr Fawkes went on to found two energy-services companies and work on the financing of energy projects. He now acts as senior advisor to the Investor Confidence Project.

The National Measurement and Verification Conference takes place in Birmingham on 19th November and details can be found at www.mavcon.uk.
