WPD extends call for DSR providers in Exeter, Rugeley, South Hams and Plymouth

Western Power Distribution has extended a call for businesses with on-site generation or potential to shift demand out of peak periods to express an interest in selling it that flexibility.

WPD launched a call in summer for flex providers with go live at the end of October. The DNO will now keep the EoI open until 21 December.

Interest parties in Exeter, Rugeley, South Hams and Plymouth that can provide flexibility at 15 minutes notice for at least two hours can find details here. There is also a postcode checker here.

To date, WPD has awarded 28MW of contracts and hopes to take forward a further 120MW.

It will launch more flexibility zones in February.
