Funding for energy-related artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics developers under the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund is now open.
£16m in total is available in two rounds for organisations that can demonstrate that their technologies could deliver step changes in challenging and extreme environments. Energy is a key focus of the funding call.
Both funds are now open for applications. Interested parties can apply for up to £500,000 each in the demonstrator competition, which closes 17 July, and up to £2m per project in the collaborative R&D competition, which closes 2 August.
All projects must be led by a business and those businesses can attract up to 70% of their project costs.
