Aligning energy tariffs across Tudor Hotels Collection

0

SGT approached Tudor Hotels Collection in February 2024 to discuss the energy tariffs across the company’s five premises. Each location was found to have multiple tariffs relating to meters at different points in the property.

In initial discussions, SGT recommended moving all meters onto one tariff and introducing a voltage optimisation system. Voltage optimisation is used to control the amount of electricity entering a property. Typically, 240 to 260 volts enter a property. However, most appliances operate at 220 volts. By limiting the electricity in the property, a business can expect a saving of 15 to 20% on its bill and a reduced carbon footprint.

Tudor Hotels Collection decided to focus its attention on initially getting the meters all under one tariff. By consolidating all the contracts into one, the group can leverage its usage to find a suitable tariff.

By July SGT had put the wheels in motion for all the energy contracts at Tudor Hotels Collection to be under one contract by 2026.

Tudor Hotels Collection owns several historic luxury buildings, which are designed to be efficient and blend modern technology with classic luxury. SGT’s approach aligns with this vision.

With the help of SGT’s expertise, Tudor Hotels Collection is expecting an annual saving of £100,000. Additionally, the company will be saving on additional admin work, with a typical invoice costing £50 to process.
