Osprey Charging Network has installed eight new ultra-rapid EV charging bays at its new Gallagher Retail Park hub in Port Glasgow.
The new, super-fast chargers typically add 100 miles of range in 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the model of the vehicle and its battery level.
Accepting simple contactless payment via card or Apple/Google Pay, with no need to download an app, the 300kW rapid charge points are also compatible with every EV on the market today.
Gallagher Retail Park was chosen for its excellent location directly off the A8, connecting Port Glasgow, Greenock and Glasgow.
It also has convenient amenities such as McDonald’s, M&S Food and Tesco Extra.
The charge points are designed to be easy to use and park at, with a 24/7 free helpline assisting customers.
For business or fleet drivers, receipts can be obtained via the Osprey App and the chargers accept all major third-party payment methods including fleet cards.
Osprey funded the installation and will oversee the operation and maintenance of the chargers, all of which are powered by renewable energy.
Ian Johnston, CEO of Osprey Charging said, “An EV charging boom is underway in Great Britain.
“We deliver reliable and rapid public charging service for all drivers, from John O’Groats to Land’s End.
“Osprey now has over 1,500 charging bays available in convenient locations across the UK, carefully designed to maximise space and ease of use.
“This new charging location in Port Glasgow is a vital part of Osprey’s Scottish re-charging network, contributing to the decarbonisation of transport in the UK.”
