Mercedes-Benz and ChargePoint have partnered to unveil a fleet charging solution for business customers in the UK and Germany, designed to simplify fleet electrification for businesses of all sizes.

The service manages the entire process from initial site planning and hardware installation to daily operations and ongoing maintenance.

It starts with a detailed assessment of a customer’s requirements and site conditions.

Mercedes-Benz and ChargePoint then develop custom AC and DC charging setups based on fleet size, site conditions and scalability.

These feature intelligent load management for optimal site performance, as well as automated energy reporting and cost analysis.

Solar photovoltaic systems, battery energy storage and additional smart energy management solutions can also be integrated.

Installation of the charging hardware is carried out by ChargePoint specialists, focused on minimal operational disruption and maximum system reliability.

The partnership addresses a major hurdle for corporate fleets by removing the complexity of dealing with multiple infrastructure vendors.

Fleets can visit the Mercedes-Benz website for more information and to arrange a free consultation.

The partnership allows Mercedes-Benz business customers to electrify their fleets with greater confidence, efficiency and simplicity.

Nico Dettmer, Global Head of Mercedes-Benz Charging Solutions, Mercedes-Benz AG said, “Our business customers expect solutions that extend far beyond the vehicle itself.

“With our new workplace charging offering, we are closing a key gap in the charging ecosystem for fleet customers, complementing both home and public charging.

“This enables companies to electrify their fleets in a cost-effective manner and accelerate their transition to electric mobility through a fully integrated, end-to-end solution.”
