Arnold Clark Charge has launched a new roaming partnership with Paua, the EV charging payment platform designed specifically for fleet and business drivers.
Paua’s platform offers access to more than 65,000 public charge point connectors across the UK through a single card or app.
Its software also includes tools such as home charging reimbursement, vehicle size filtering, depot sharing and advanced controls for businesses, making it easier for fleet managers to control costs, streamline reporting, and support drivers in whichever location they plug in.
Launched last year as part of a £30 million investment by the car retailer, Arnold Clark Charge’s network now has more than 50 ultra-rapid charging hubs at Arnold Clark branches nationwide, all of which are open to the public.
Each hub features up to 12 ultra-rapid chargers, capable of delivering charging speeds of up to 150kW, allowing drivers to top up quickly and get back on the road.
Work is under way to expand the network, with more locations set to open by the end of the year.
Arnold Clark Charge said the partnership with Paua strengthens its commitment to making public charging as seamless and accessible as possible for all EV users.
Russell Borrie, chief executive officer at Arnold Clark, said, “We’re committed to investing in the future of the automotive industry and making electric vehicle charging accessible to everyone.
“With electric vehicles becoming increasingly popular, it’s essential that our charging infrastructure keeps pace with rising demand.
“That’s why we’ve made significant investments in our own UK-wide, bookable ultra-rapid charging network, Arnold Clark Charge.”
