DX Group has signed a three-year deal to acquire a fleet of electric vans to be used in its delivery and logistics partnership with IKEA.
The first phase, which began in August 2022, has seen an initial twelve electric vans operating from DX depots in Southampton and Warrington.
They include Maxus e-Deliver 9 marque vans, which have an operational carrying capacity of 1,162kg and a single-charge range of over 219 miles, with zero output emissions.
Further investment is planned over the next three years to establish a fleet of more than 60 electric vehicles for IKEA’s home-delivery services.
DX has provided delivery and logistics services for IKEA’s online and retail operations for more than seven years and is the furniture specialist’s largest provider of two-person home delivery services in the UK.
