This year has seen sustainability take centre stage, with the government announcing a new ‘10-point plan’ for a green recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic, followed by the publication of the long-awaited Energy White Paper.
However, do these policies do enough to help business energy users plan for their own net zero futures? Do they provide the clarity businesses have been asking for when it comes to making important investment decisions?
In a new webinar at 10am on 10 December, in partnership with npower Business Solutions, we will speak to business and energy experts, including James Diggle, Head of Energy and Climate Change at the CBI, Oliver Craughan, Head of CSR, DPD Group and Ben Spry, Head of Flexibility Services, npower Business Solutions to discuss the main points of the latest government announcements, whether they address some of the questions businesses have been asking, as well as providing expert advice on the best strategies and top actions organisations can take to plan their own road to net zero.
Michael Byrne from npower Business Solutions comments:
“It goes without saying that this year has been challenging for business, resulting in a huge amount of uncertainty. When it comes to investing in sustainability, our own research – ‘Your Business Blueprint – The road to Net Zero’ – showed that businesses backed net zero and recognised the economic benefits it could bring, but that they were being held back by policy uncertainty.
“With the 10-point plan and Energy White Paper hopefully kicking off a raft of decarbonisation policies as we head towards COP26 next year, this webinar is designed to make these policies meaningful for business, as well as provide expert advice on how to plan their carbon reduction programmes during what are still uncertain times.”
