Farizon has selected Europcar Mobility Group UK to provide a vehicle replacement service for its SV or V7E electric van customers.

Under the agreement, in the event that a customer’s van cannot be repaired at the roadside, Europcar will provide a replacement SV within two days of the incident.

The vehicle replacement service will run for the length of the customer’s warranty, with a four-year/120,000-mile warranty included with the SV, and a five year/120,000-mile warranty with the V7E.

Europcar is holding an initial fleet of ten Farizon SV L1H1 models at key locations around the UK, which means it will be able to swiftly deliver vans when needed.

With more than 70% of its network equipped with EV charging, vehicles will be provided with at least an 80% charge at the start of a loan.

The SV van is available with the option of 67kWh, 83kWh or 106kWh batteries, and its all-electric powertrain produces 170kW (231PS) of power and 336Nm of torque.

It delivers a WLTP range of up to 247 miles – WLTP combined cycle – while a 20 to 80% top-up charge can be completed in 36 minutes.

Tom Middleditch, sustainability spokesperson at Europcar, said, “By ringfencing a Farizon SV fleet, businesses that have made the move to electric with Farizon will have the peace of mind that a replacement vehicle will be delivered to the driver wherever they are in the country.

“Having rapid access to a replacement is invaluable for the overall customer experience, getting drivers back to work as quickly as possible and with very little downtime.”
