Former Utilitywise and Total director Michael Dent is the new MD at consultancy Inprova Energy.
The firm acquired brokers energyTEAM and ENER-G Procurement a year ago, a move which it said made it one of the UK’s ten largest TPIs with a turnover north of £12m. The outfit is also eyeing further acquisitions, of which Dent has experience.
Dent was most recently managing director Europe and sales and marketing director for Utilitywise and spent nine years as sales and marketing boss at Total. He also gained experience of European energy markets with RWE npower.
Paul Kennedy, Inprova Group Chief Executive said: “With Michael’s vast industry experience, visionary approach and track record of achievement, Inprova Energy is setting the right course for further growth, including possible future acquisitions.
“Under Michael’s leadership, our vision is to be recognised as the most trusted energy advisor in the UK, keeping customer service excellence rooted at the heart of everything we do.”
Dent said: “Although Inprova Energy is a new brand, it has a 40-year history with 3,000 energy contracts worth £1bn placed last year alone. I’m delighted to be working with such a passionate and dedicated team towards achieving our ‘most trusted energy advisor’ vision.”
Dent is a law graduate and holds an MBA from the University of Manchester.
Inprova Energy clients include Virgin Atlantic, Hotel du Vin, National Grid, Carlsberg, Wales & West Utilities, and retail group White Stuff. The company also has a specialist water market division.
