The Energyst has produced a new, free report on electric vehicles and infrastructure.
The 2020 EV report: The road ahead features a survey of business and public sector organisations that are planning to rollout charging infrastructure in the next 12-24 months.
The survey shows the kind of chargers they plan to install (rapid, slow, both), whether they have sufficient power capacity, whether or not they plan to bundle it together with onsite generation or storage, if they will use smart charging, and if they are interested in vehicle-to-grid. The survey also splits out questions for workplace charging, destination charging and fleets.
The report features in-depth interviews with fleet operators including the John Lewis Partnership, Mitie, UPS and DPD, public charging providers Engenie and Liberty Charge, power infrastructure operators National Grid, UK Power Networks and Western Power Distribution, leasing firms Arval and Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions, and smart charging and vehicle-to-grid firms ev.energy and Dreev.
Sponsored by Arup, EDF, Good Energy, NewMotion and Total Gas & Power, the report also includes their views of the key opportunities and challenges on the road toward decarbonisation.
