Green Frog Connect (GFC), the UK-based independent connections provider specialising in high-voltage grid infrastructure, has today announced that it has become part of Hanab Energy Solutions, one of the Netherlands’ leading electricity infrastructure contractors.
This acquisition strengthens Hanab’s position in the UK, with the UK identified as a key long-term growth market. The accelerating demand for grid modernisation, renewable energy connections, battery storage, data centres and wider electrification presents a major opportunity for investment and expansion in the UK energy sector.
Hanab Energy Solutions delivers major electricity infrastructure projects up to 380kV and works extensively with TenneT, the Dutch transmission operator, alongside a range of major private-sector energy users and infrastructure clients. Backed by the wider group, Hanab, with significant technical capability and financial strength, Hanab Energy Solutions has established a strong reputation for delivering complex energy infrastructure projects safely and at scale.
The move comes at a time of unprecedented investment in UK electricity infrastructure, driven by transmission network reinforcement, renewable energy connections, battery storage, data centres and wider electrification across the economy.
Green Frog Connect has built a strong reputation in the UK market for delivering technically complex grid connection projects and is among a small number of ICPs actively expanding into higher-voltage infrastructure work. The company has established capability at 132kV and has ambitious plans to continue growing into EHV and transmission-level projects.
The partnership with Hanab Energy Solutions will provide Green Frog Connect with additional technical capability, operational support and long-term investment to accelerate that growth strategy.
