InstaVolt is growing its partnership with property development and investment company British Land as part of its retail park EV charging rollout.
The partnership includes 18 British Land locations already progressing through development, which includes 273 charging devices.
A total of five of the sites are already live, with the rest due for activation over the coming months.
Also, two InstaVolt sites currently in development – at Reading Gate and Kingston, Milton Keynes – will feature on-site battery energy storage.
The technology helps maintain consistent Ultra-rapid performance during the busiest periods and eases demand on the local grid, supporting reliable charging even at peak times.
Delvin Lane, Chief Executive Officer of InstaVolt, said, “This is one of the largest retail park charging rollouts in the country, and it is growing fast. Retail parks are exactly where ultra-rapid charging belongs: drivers are already there, already spending time, and topping up fits neatly around the shop or a coffee.
“With battery storage now coming to key sites, we are not simply adding chargers, we are building resilient infrastructure that performs when demand is highest.
“Our partnership with British Land shows what two companies can deliver when they share a clear ambition to make electric driving easier for everyone.”
Earlier this month, the Iberian division of InstaVolt confirmed that it has sold its business operations, charging network and associated employees across Spain and Portugal to European EV charging provider Powerdot.
Instavolt said the transaction further strengthens its ability to accelerate investment across its core UK and Ireland markets.
