Kerbo Charge, the provider of cross-pavement EV charging channels, has acquired rival Charge Gully for an undisclosed sum.
Under the deal, the company will invest in Charge Gully as a standalone brand, ensuring its lockable aluminium solution remains available to councils and end-users alongside Kerbo Charge’s patented, pavement contouring channel.
Also, Kerbo Charge will take over Charge Gully’s existing product warranties and stock will be shipped from its own central logistics hub, ensuring a faster, more efficient service.
Launched in 2022, Charge Gully built a rapid market presence in a short period of time, with installations in Lancashire, Suffolk, Renfrewshire and Coventry.
Its cable gully EV charging solution offers a secure and trip-free solution to running a cable across the pavement.
Michael Goulden, founder and CEO of Kerbo Charge said, “Charge Gully has built a great market presence, and with the addition of their product in our offering we’ll be able to accelerate the adoption of cross-pavement charging by UK local authorities.
“This is just the beginning of what we believe will be a wave of consolidation across the EV charging sector.
“We’re pleased to be leading from the front with Charge Gully – two British brands working together to solve one of the UK’s toughest charging challenges.”
Ian Mach, founder of Charge Gully, said, “At Charge Gully, we are proud to have built something truly innovative underpinned by our strong engineering expertise.
“We’re grateful to our clients and partners who have supported us along the way.
“With Kerbo Charge now taking the product forward, I’m confident it will continue to grow and help more residents without a driveway transition to electric vehicles.”
