Levelise to offer in-app tariff recommendation

Levelise, a leading UK company delivering flexibility services directly to households, is introducing a new tariff recommendation feature in its app, helping customers choose the best energy tariff based on how they use energy and how their home devices, like batteries, are optimised.

In partnership with My Utility Genius, the tool goes beyond basic comparisons. It looks at each home’s energy usage, solar generation, heating, EV charging and battery behaviour, then recommends tariffs that make the most of time-of-use pricing and flexibility market earnings. This is particularly valuable for homes with batteries, where the right tariff can mean charging when electricity is cheap, discharging when it’s expensive, and even earning money by supporting the grid.

The new feature ensures customers are on a plan that works with how their assets are being controlled and traded, so they’re not missing out on value from smart charging, export timing, or flexibility. It’s fully integrated with Levelise’s optimisation engine, meaning customers benefit from higher savings and earnings without needing to manage anything themselves.

Iván Castro, Operations Director at Levelise, said, “Homeowners shouldn’t have to worry about whether they’re on the right tariff or if their battery is working hard enough for them. With Levelise, we’re making energy effortless – the app recommends the best plan, the Hub manages devices in the background, and customers simply enjoy lower bills and higher earnings.”

The app monitors tariffs in real time and alerts customers if a better one becomes available, with a simple switching journey built in. With this launch, Levelise is making it even easier for households to get the most out of their energy setup, cutting bills and increasing returns effortlessly.

Guy Thompson, Chief Product Officer at My Utility Genius, said, “We’re delighted to partner with Levelise, combining their expertise in monitoring home energy usage with our tariff recommendation service. Together, we’re helping homeowners save money by making it easier to switch to the tariffs that work best for their household energy patterns.”

Levelise launched its new Hub 2 at this year’s Solar and Storage Live. It takes energy optimisation even further for homes with solar and battery systems to maximise both savings and earnings.
