Sheffield-based aggregates, waste removal and recycling company MHH Contracting has taken delivery of two new Isuzu D-Max EV pick-ups.
Supplied by Isuzu Dealer RN Golden in Huddersfield, the electric vehicles deliver a combined range of 163 miles, a city range of 223 miles, and a battery recharge time from a DC supply – maximum 50kW – of up to 80% within one hour.
The D-Max EVs are recharged overnight and have a payload of more than one tonne, 3,500 kg towing capacity as well as permanent four-wheel drive.
MHH Contracting, which operates a portfolio of business including heritage construction, commercial property and estate management across Yorkshire and Derbyshire, selected the vehicles to help meet its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) targets.
The family-owned firm anticipates adding more EVs to its fleet of about 20 pick-up vehicles and 40 LGVs.
