Anker SOLIX introduces its next-generation balcony energy system, the Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro, with 5,000W of solar input, increased storage capacity of 5000Wh and a 10,000-cycle lifespan.

Under the basic 800W grid-tied mode, users can connect the Solarbank directly via the 800W Schuko interface into their existing home circuit. Without any wiring changes needed, the system instantly covers their household’s basic power consumption. When 800W isn’t enough, users can upgrade it to PluginPower 2.0. Validated by a TÜV safety verification, if offers 2,500W grid-tied output mode to release the solar power generated.

For users who want to maximise self-consumption, the 2,500W bi-directional inverter channels surplus solar straight into the household circuit at minimal modification cost. Homeowners can thus achieve a level of solar utilisation previously unattainable in the plug-in category, provided they have a dedicated circuit and engage a qualified electrician to assess the equipment and ensure full compliance with applicable standards. To ensure extra reliability, Anker SOLIX strongly recommends pairing the system with the Smart Meter Gen 2 for real-time, circuit-aware power management.

The two-mode design ensures no solar energy goes to waste, covering the power needs of 95% of household appliances. Thanks to the easily expandable modular design, the Solarbank 4 Pro can be flexibly expanded up to 30kWh. Regarding the capacity, a 5kWh base unit is enough to power a typical European household through the night.

In total, twelve solar panels can be connected, tripling the capacity of standard plug-and-play systems. It also supports backup scenarios. During off-grid, the 2500W off-grid port integrates uninterruptible power supply functionality. When the power is suddenly cut off, the system automatically switches within just 10 milliseconds, keeping essentials running without interruption.

Longevity is guaranteed by automotive-grade 314Ah LFP cells and Anker SOLIX’s InfiniPower technology. The battery supports 10,000 charge cycles, built to keep up with daily solar charging and off-peak rate cycling year after year, capturing both morning and evening peak-price windows every day. The cells are also equipped with an energy optimiser, supporting 100% deep discharge (DoD) to maximise effective storage capacity. This corresponds to a lifespan of around 15 years.

To allow for flexible placement of the Solarbank, the storage unit is protected against water and dust to IP66 standard. It also has C5 certification for corrosion resistance, should the solar bank be located near the coast. Unrestricted operation is possible at temperatures between -20°C to 55°C. Inside, seven protective layers ensure the best possible protection against short circuits and fire.

The Solarbank 4 Pro runs on Anker PowerOS, featuring the AI voice assistant Anka for hands-free control and intelligent energy scheduling. The system autonomously optimises charging and discharging based on real-time weather, while AI EMS syncs with 870+ electricity providers to benefit from dynamic tariffs. Open API support enables Home Assistant integration, while local data processing and financial-grade encryption ensure privacy.
