Renault Retail Group has announced it is switching all 164 cars in its England and Wales courtesy car fleet to the fully-electric Zoe E-Tech model.

A total of 143 vehicles across 15 official Renault and Dacia dealerships will be replaced with the all-electric supermini.

There are already 21 E-Techs in the fleet, which has previously included petrol Renault Clio, Renault Captur and Dacia Sandero models.

Each E-Tech will travel up to 5,000 miles a year and be provided fully charged, offering a range of up to 245 miles on a single charge.

If customers need to travel beyond the Zoe’s range, details of charging points can be accessed on its Easy Link Multimedia System.

Drivers will also receive a full introduction on the car’s features and its operation.

The Zoe E-Tech, which comes with Play, Iconic and GT Edition trim levels, has rapid 50kW charging which charges the battery from zero to 80% in 70 minutes.

Renault says the move will help customers and the company to cut their carbon footprint and contribute to improving air quality.

Ludovic Troyes, Managing Director of Renault Retail Group, said, “The 100% electric Renault Zoe has been prominent in the EV market for nearly 10 years, bringing zero-emissions motoring within the reach of everyone.

“By switching to electric courtesy cars, Renault Retail Group is giving all our customers the opportunity to experience the benefits of electric motoring, so they too can take advantage of affordable running costs whilst being kinder to the environment.”
