Schneider Electric, the specialist in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has unveiled Canalis for EV – a flexible, scaleable and future-proof busbar for charging infrastructure.
Its plug-and-play modular design enables quick and easy installation, making it an efficient solution for outdoor EV charging stations.
Prefabricated modular design kits make it simple to install without the need for extensive civil and cabling work, reducing installation time and labour costs to less than four days.
These kits can be easily dismounted and reused to adapt to changing EV infrastructure demands.
Also, the system is compatible with more than 20 different chargers.
The equipment is suitable for front, side, face-to-face or one-sided chargers, enabling the flexibility to design the EV charging infrastructure per the demand
David Williams, Schneider Electric’s Vice President, Transactional Business UK&I said, “Schneider Electric’s Canalis for EV provides a flexible, scalable, and modular busbar system designed to seamlessly integrate with electric vehicle charging infrastructure, ensuring efficient and reliable power distribution for outdoor applications.
“With Canalis for EV, businesses can enjoy reduced installation time and costs, less civil work, maintenance-free operation, and the ability to easily expand EV charging capabilities as demand grows.
“This solution not only optimises operations but also positions businesses to meet the increasing demand for EV charging solutions, making them future-ready and environmentally responsible.”
Schneider Electric is currently delivering its EcoStruxure for eMobility solution to multiple Stagecoach sites across the UK.
This includes ultra-rapid EV charging points, electrical distribution infrastructure, and EcoCare membership.
