Total Gas & Power has hired former Npower sales, marketing and technical services director, Mark Rose, to head up its sales operation to large businesses.
Rose becomes director, Major Business, effective this week. His remit includes responsibility for sales to industrial and commercial customers, and the public sector, either directly or via brokers.
General manager, Sion Roberts, said he was “delighted” with the appointment.
“Mark brings a wealth of experience and is a welcome addition to our senior management team … he will be integral to our commitment to becoming the responsible energy major.”
Prior to joining Npower in 2014, Rose spent ten years with EDF Energy, five of which were with British Energy.
Meanwhile, Drax-owned b2b supplier Opus Energy has made Mark Coulthread operations director on a permanent basis. Coulthread, a former BT, Tesco and Barclays executive, has been fulfilling the role on an interim basis since October.
Opus chief operating officer, Nikki Flanders, said Coulthread “has already had a tremendously positive impact on the business over the past six months and his reputation for successfully leading strategic and operational programmes will only serve to bolster our business”.
