XPO Logistics has ordered six electric Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 trucks to replace diesel-powered vehicles within its PepsiCo fleet.
The switch is projected to eliminate more than 1,200 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually and enable more than 1,000,000 road kilometres per year to be driven with zero emissions – a significant step in PepsiCo’s journey to become net zero by 2050.
Ordered through Saga Truck and Van, and with a range exceeding 500 km per charge, the trucks will be operational this month transporting products across England and Wales.
PepsiCo brands include Pepsi MAX, Doritos, 7UP Zero Sugar, Quaker Oats, Walkers, Wotsits, Monster Munch, and Pipers.
The transition is supported by XPO Logistics’ AI-driven CO₂ reporting dashboard that allows real-time tracking and optimisation of carbon savings.
