Energy infrastructure specialists, YLEM Group, has successfully relocated its headquarters to the heart of Salford Quays, to support its long-term business growth aims.

Commercial office agents, Canning O’Neill, helped YLEM complete the move to 10 Exchange Quay, a 2,840 sq. ft. purpose-built office building in a bustling business environment at the southern gateway to Salford Quays.

Located 1.5 miles from Manchester city centre, Exchange Quay has excellent transport links and is also home to other major organisations such as AJ Bell, TalkTalk and Sage

YLEM Group specialises in designing, building, operating and maintaining systems for energy intensive industries and companies ranging from JCB and Scapa to Unilever and Vauxhall. The office move from Edison House in Salford, provides space for the business to develop and support its continued growth across the UK energy and renewables sector.

As part of its relocation, it plans to use the office as a central base for its expanding team which works across the group’s three specialist businesses – YLEM Energy, Root-Power and Power Zero. Supporting collaboration across its engineering, operations, commercial and project delivery functions, it will also provide a modern working environment and create capacity for future recruitment.

Ian Gadsby, chief executive officer at YLEM Group said, “Relocating to Exchange Quay gives us a high-quality, well-connected office base that reflects the scale of our ambitions and provides the space we need to support our people, customers and long-term growth.

“As demand for flexible, reliable, and low carbon energy solutions continues to increase, it is important that we have the right working environment in place to help our team continue to deliver the highest possible standards and performance across every part of the business.”
