Solar energy solutions provider Push Power has officially kickstarted construction on a major solar PV installation on behalf of Centrica Business Solutions at one of the UK’s largest premium poultry supplier, Gressingham Foods, famed for its gourmet Gressingham Duck.
Expected to complete in August 2025, Push Power are creating a bespoke solar array, comprising 5100 panels delivering 3.2MW, will make a significant contribution to Gressingham Foods’decarbonisation plans, reducing more than 670 tonnes of carbon in the first year alone. This significant decarbonisation effort supports Gressingham’s ongoing sustainability strategy and long-term energy goals.
This system is being financed by Centrica Business Solutions as part of a Purchase Power Agreement with their client Gressingham Foods Prior to the start of construction, vigorous environmental testing was carried out to safeguard the protection of wildlife and ensure the development has a positive impact on the area and local community. The array will stretch across multiple acres of land adjacent to Gressingham’s main facility, transforming an unused greenfield site into a powerhouse of clean energy.
