Duracell E-Charge has officially opened its first UK charging location at Bath Terrace Car Park in Cheltenham.
The Bath Terrace site features ten ultra-rapid (300kW) charging bays, getting drivers to more than 80% power in less than 30 minutes.
Bath Terrace is close to Sandford Park and Cheltenham Town FC, as well as a short walk from The Brewery Quarter, and is surrounded by local shops, cafés and pubs.
Duracell E-Charge drivers can park for free while using the chargers for up to one hour, while standard tariffs apply once the charging session ends.
The EV Network developed and delivered the site, continuing its strategy of delivering high- profile charging locations across the UK in partnership with leading brands and landlords.
This launch marks the first step in Duracell E-Charge’s wider rollout, with more sites planned for 2026.
Backed by more than £200 million in planned investment over the next decade, the new hubs will prioritise strategic high-traffic locations including motorways, retail destinations, hospitality venues, and urban gateways.
To operate the network, Duracell has granted a licence to Elektra Charge, a newly formed charge point operator (CPO) that will manage day-to-day operations.
In addition, every location will have round-the-clock customer support and multiple payment options including contactless, in-app and plug-and-go.
Mark Bloxham, Managing Director of Duracell E-Charge, said, “We’re bringing reliable, ultra-rapid charging into busy urban spaces where drivers actually live their lives. Cheltenham is the perfect starting point.
“It shows how Duracell E-Charge sites will combine speed, reliability, and convenience with a brand people already trust.”
