Range Rover has launched the first fully electric version of the SUV, marking a major shift in the company’s electrification programme.

Under the bonnet of the Solihull-built vehicle is a dual-motor system featuring twin 353hp motors that combine to deliver V8 levels of performance, offering up to 550hp, 850Nm of torque and a 0‑60mph sprint in 4.3 seconds.

The motors are powered by a double-stacked 118.5kWh battery yielding up to 372 miles of WLTP range and a real‑world range of up to 333 miles, according to the brand.

Due to an 800V architecture and split‑charging, it also supports 350kW DC fast charging, taking the battery from 10 to 80% in about 22 minutes, adding 137 miles of range in a 10-minute stop.

The new Range Rover app also provides the ability to select and schedule charging when the vehicle is parked and plugged in – for example at home – to help make the most of lower charging tariffs.

Each Range Rover Electric comes with a Battery Digital Twin which provides more than 900 diagnostic data points.

When coupled with JLR’s software over the air capability, it allows Range Rover to proactively maintain clients’ vehicles.
