Octopus Energy has snapped up Kuppa, a smart home-energy software startup, enabling it to make low-carbon home upgrades faster, easier and cheaper.
By integrating Kuppa’s software into Octopus’s existing tech stack, customers will soon be able to unlock their home’s energy upgrade potential in just seconds – no surveyor visit needed.
Kuppa’s AI-driven technology makes virtual home energy surveys and solar system designs effortless, showing customers how different green technologies can work together in their house.
Combining satellite data, smart meter data, and public databases, Kuppa’s state-of-the-art tech platform creates bespoke home energy designs instantly.
The London-based startup has already helped over 250,000 homes take the first step in securing a mix of solar panels, heat pumps, and batteries to cut energy bills and slash carbon footprints – all from the comfort of their own sofa.
Kuppa’s tech and team will now be fully integrated into Octopus Energy, with the aim to cut the time from ‘I’m interested’ to ‘installation complete’ by at least 50%.
Together, Octopus and Kuppa will deliver more accurate surveys and digital tools, providing customers with a smooth, automated upgrade experience that furthers Octopus’ position as a clean energy pioneer.
