Northgate launches new electric LCV rental and charger bundle

Northgate has launched a new EV bundle which enables customers on contracts of 12 months or more to rent an electric light commercial vehicle and charger for a single monthly payment.

The deal includes installation of a 7kW charging unit supplied and installed by Northgate’s charging partner, ChargedEV, which has carried out more than 30,000 domestic installations.

All charging units come with servicing and maintenance included within the monthly bundle price.

Businesses also have access to an online platform for full visibility of their drivers charging use and a ‘company wallet’ function which can be used to set charging reimbursement plans.

Within the platform a charging app allows the driver to access auto scheduled charging to take advantage of cheaper tariff hours.

The charging platform can set up multiple payment methods for drivers using both personal and business payment cards, which helps reduce administration time for fleet managers.

Northgate’s 12months+ contract includes vehicle rental of between 12 and 60 months including any livery or racking and full servicing, maintenance, and breakdown cover.

Launched as part of Northgate’s Drive to Zero fleet electrification program, the new bundle initiative aims to help make it more straightforward for businesses switching to EVs.

James Eustace, Northgate’s Director of Product and Marketing said: “Supporting our customers with their switch to EVs has always been important to Northgate.

“They said they wanted to take the complexity out of switching to electric light commercials which we have done.

“This is the first time an integrated package of this type has been made available for a single monthly price which we are very excited about.”
