Electric car subscription service Onto has ordered a further 1,050 Renault Zoe E-Tech to join its growing battery electric vehicle-only fleet.
The business, launched in 2017, has more than 4,000 vehicles and the latest order takes the number of Zoe E-Tech in its fleet to more than 2,000.
Onto’s latest order consists of Zoe E-Tech Iconic and Zoe E-Tech GT Line variants, both specified with rapid charge capability, which allows 90 miles of charge to be restored in only 30 minutes.
The Zoe E-Tech has a range of up to 245 miles ensuring it is suited for use in more remote areas as well as urban environments.
Onto’s subscriptions require no deposit and, in return for a monthly payment, encompass the cost of the car, insurance, breakdown cover and maintenance.
It includes the electricity to charge it via RFID cards that provide free access to the BP Pulse, Shell Recharge and Instavolt charging networks with more than 12,000 stations in the UK.
Rob Jolly, CEO and Co-founder at Onto, said, “The Zoe has proved to be one of the most popular choices for Onto subscribers and we’ve had some very positive feedback on it. Customers say it’s a great all-rounder and praise its value for money, driving experience and brilliant range.
“The Zoe E-Tech will continue to play an important role in our product offering as we grown the business, and we hope to continue our partnership with Renault in 2022 and beyond. As we look to the future, we will also be considering other Renault E-Tech models, too.”
Vincent Tourette, Managing Director, Renault UK, added, “With it being one of Onto’s most popular cars, the Zoe E-Tech is destined to introduce thousands more drivers to the many benefits of an electric vehicle at an attractive cost, supporting our own strategy to provide customers with affordable and sustainable mobility that offers a fantastic driving experience.”
