Range Rover has showcased its new all-electric GT, due to arrive in the spring of 2027 as the fifth model in its vehicle lineup.
The GT will be the first to sit on the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) new Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA), as opposed to the Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA) platform used for the upcoming Range Rover Electric and Range Rover Sport Electric.
It will join a range that includes the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Velar and Evoque.
Built at Halewood, alongside combustion and hybrid vehicles, the GT will launch as a pure electric vehicle first, with a hybrid powertrain option due for later in its lifecycle.
Prototypes are now completing global testing and powertrain details are due to be revealed later this year, but the GT is expected to feature an advanced dual-motor electric all-wheel-drive system.
According to Range Rover, the GT is the sportiest, most car-like vehicle that it has ever developed.
