EV infrastructure charging specialist Source has opened its network to Octopus Electroverse customers under a new deal.

Users of the Octopus Electroverse can now locate Source’s UK-wide hubs on the Electroverse charging map and easily start a charge through the app, simplifying the process of charging.

Source, which was launched last year, is a joint venture between TotalEnergies and SSE that aims to deliver 300 new ultra-rapid hubs across the UK and Ireland by 2030.

The business is partnering with roaming providers to allow customers to choose how to start a charge, and access a range of options.

Drivers can also use the Source hub by downloading the new SourceConnect app which allows users to locate available charge points, start a pay-as-you-go charge by scanning the QR code at the charger and track their charging session live within the app.

Matt Davies, director at Octopus Electroverse, said, “With every new charge point we add, we’re making sure the ever-growing number of EV drivers on UK roads always have a charger close by.

“At Electroverse, we’re proud to be building Europe’s largest consumer EV charging platform and to partner with charge point operators like Source, who share our passion for making charging simple and effortless for everyone.”

Alice Aprile-Smith, head of partnerships and business development at Source, said, “This partnership is one of many we are working on signing to make it easy for drivers, fleet operators and taxis to use our superb charging hubs.

“We know that customers want a stress-free and simple charging experience and partnering with roaming providers such as Octopus Electroverse ensures customers have choice about how to charge.”
