Enviromena, the UK-based independent power producer, has acquired Duxhurst Solar Farm, a 26.37MWp project located near Reigate in Surrey, from Luminous Energy.

The project holds a Contract for Difference (CfD) secured in Allocation Round 6, a government-backed contract that provides long-term revenue certainty. Once operational, Duxhurst is forecast to generate over 26,500MWh of clean electricity each year, enough to power the equivalent of more than 9,800 UK homes annually and avoid over 4,600 tonnes of carbon emissions a year. The project is expected to be energised in summer 2027.

The acquisition adds a further construction-ready, CfD-backed asset to Enviromena’s UK development pipeline, alongside recent additions including Rock Farm and Steeraway in Shropshire and Longpasture in County Durham, all of which also secured Contracts for Difference in Allocation Round 6.

Chris Marsh, CEO at Enviromena, said, “The Duxhurst project complements our existing pipeline and provides an opportunity to efficiently deploy our development and delivery capabilities to bring additional clean power to market.

“We remain focused on selectively pursuing opportunities that meet our investment criteria, strengthen our platform and deliver attractive long-term returns for our investors.”

Jolyon Orchard, Founder and CEO at Luminous Energy, said, “This is another example of a solar farm developed in-house by Luminous Energy which is a testament to our ability to originate and develop world class solar farms which make a meaningful contribution towards decarbonising our electricity system and helping to fight against climate change.

“Our strategy is to selectively sell some projects whilst efficiently re-investing those proceeds into growing our international presence and pipeline as well as building, owning and operating projects of our own”.

The acquisition follows Enviromena securing £1 billion of financing across its funding platform in 2026, comprising an £825 million senior portfolio facility with a consortium of leading banks and a £175 million HoldCo facility with Eiffel Investment Group.

The financing supports the delivery of Enviromena’s existing 1GW solar pipeline over the next five years, providing a strong foundation for the continued execution of the company’s growth strategy.

For Luminous Energy, this milestone follows closely on the back of recent success with Springwell Solar Farm (800MWac) in the UK which obtained a planning consent from the Secretary of State in April 2026, as well as the energisation of Luminous Energy’s wholly owned solar farm, Bracon Ash (28.5MWp) in October 2024.
