The Energy Networks Association invites anyone with an interest in the future of GB energy networks to attend its innovation conference in Glasgow next month.
We need to be relentless in our focus on innovation to deliver Net Zero, and reap the benefits that it can deliver for the public. Britain’s energy network companies are playing a leading role in helping reach our Net Zero target, by connecting greater levels of renewable energy whilst providing the new infrastructure we need to cut our carbon emissions in new areas, such as heat and transport.
Working with the widest possible range of innovative new businesses is key to delivering a low carbon, decentralised and digitalised energy system It is vital that network companies are not only able to take advantage of the brightest and best of the latest cutting edge technologies, but also to ensure they help new energy innovators across the country find new routes to market.
That’s why for Low Carbon Networks & Innovation Conference (LCNI) 2019, our conference theme is empowering new energy innovators.
The LCNI brings together in one place all the UK’s gas and electricity network companies, government, regulators and the key industry spokespeople from across the country to provide attendees with a unique opportunity to engage and shape electricity and gas network innovation.
LCNI continues to break records, welcoming over 1,000 delegates and featuring over 40 exhibitors with UK and international representation. Things are changing in 2019: this year, Low Carbon Networks Innovation’s energy focus is on electricity.
As innovation in energy is moving so quickly, this is the best place for stakeholders from the world of energy and beyond to come together to share ideas, best practice and also find out more about the NIC Call for Ideas.
Taking place on 30-31 October in Glasgow at the SEC and sponsored by SP Energy Networks, we are delighted to have a stellar range of speakers including Scotland’s Energy Minister Paul Wheelhouse MSP.
This year’s LCNI is, therefore, a must-attend conference for anyone with an interest in the future of our networks and I would encourage everyone to join us for what promises to be an exciting and useful two days.
