Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has opened access to a 1.1 million-strong European charging network through a new partnership with Digital Charging Solutions (DCS).
Drivers of Range Rover, Defender, Discovery and Jaguar plug‑in hybrid and electric vehicles models can use their InControl Remote app or any future JLR apps to locate and pay monthly for the service.
Powered by the DCS platform, which is connected to hundreds of electric charging point operators across the UK and Europe, owners can filter for charger availability and speed in their chosen locations across 29 European countries.
The network includes a range of urban and rural locations.
For example, more than 16,000 chargers are available around Stuttgart, while Mediterranean islands such as Rhodes, Greece, feature about 200 chargers.
Every buyer of a new or approved used JLR plug-in hybrid or battery electric vehicle will receive a complimentary, branded charging card.
Existing vehicle owners can instantly request their physical card through their local retailer or directly inside the mobile app.
Mark Camilleri, director of charging and connected services at JLR, said, “Quality, choice and convenience are critical to the luxury experience we are creating for our electric vehicle clients.
“Through this new partnership, we are giving clients the power to seamlessly access one of Europe’s most comprehensive charging networks.”
Petr Füzék, commercial director at DCS, said, “Luxury clients expect quality and reliability in every aspect of vehicle ownership, and public charging is no exception.
“At DCS, we’re proud to support JLR as they expand their public charging service, ensuring a seamless electric journey for clients.”
